All along the coast of Britain occur these stone piers or groynes, which were built to control erosion. Although often used as places to dive into the perpetually cold sea these are often extremely dangerous places to swim due to the currents and lack of hand holds to allow climbing back if the swimmer gets into difficulty. This is a sign from a relatively short one at Clacton-on-sea on the Essex coast.

I am a visual story teller based in southern Pennsylvania, USA and my imagery is inspired from everyday objects and situations I encounter through my travels.
