Description
Australian Eastern Water Dragon - Richard Reeve
These beautiful water dragons are good climbers, fast runners and great swimmers. They have a prominent nuchal crest (spikes on the head) that also runs down their backs, and can grow to 2 feet (60cm) in length.
They are shy but do adapt well to human presence, such as in the parks in Brisbane, QLD.

They're such fascinating creatures. And I love this moment. Beautiful work!
Richard Reeve replied:
Thank you, Meg. Yes, many lizards here, and you can get up close if you move slow.
