Wanted for Spreading Lyme Disease - Richard Reeve
The deer tick (Ixodes scapularis) is a widely found parasite of many mammals in addition to the deer. Sometimes it delivers a payload of Borrelia burgdorferi, a spirochete parasite that causes Lyme Disease.

And we have so many deer, I get very paranoid once the frost ends. And you've had it twice??? Wow. Excellent warning Richard! l/f!
Richard Reeve replied:
Yes, twice diagnosed so far. Only once with the classic bullseye rash though. We have dozens of deer near us and we are picking ticks off the dogs, cats, and us regularly. This year seems particularly bad though ;-(
