Description
Village Cricket - Richard Reeve
There are few things more quintessentially British than a game of village cricket played during the warm summer. The game has existed since at least the 16th Century and remains popular in many countries. IN Britain many villages field a team and play against each other in sporting leagues. Any sport that can bowl a leather ball at 100 mph to be hit with a willow bat and played over several days with tea breaks and still end in a friendly draw (tie) is a sign of a true culture in my book.
