Artist's Description
The Thames at Tower Bridge 1909
This is a panoramic image of London Bridge and the Tower of London, showing the working River Thames in 1909 taken from the South Bank, near to where HMS Belfast is now docked. I have restored this from 3 photographs and retouched to remove damage. There is so much to see here - people promenading on the far bank, an oarsman rowing a barge and the working wharves in the foreground to these London icons.
