Description
Kenworth began its history in Portland, Oregon. In 1912, the company was founded by brothers George T. and Louis Gerlinger, Jr. as a car and truck dealership known as Gerlinger Motor Car Works.
Pioneering the use of six-cylinder engines and then diesel engines the company finally became Kenworth in 1923 before being purchased by the Pacific Car and Foundry Company in 1945. These iconic trucks are part of 20th and 21st Century America.

Great shot and history! L/F!
Richard Reeve replied:
Thank you, Meg. I drive past these trucks daily and finally had a chance to catch the sunlight!
