Miguel de Cervantes' classic story of Don Quixote, or more correctly "The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha" remains a classic over 400 years since it was penned. So much so, in fact that the term "quixotic" has entered the English language to describe idealistic, unrealistic and impractical activities.
This word cloud was based on the English translation from chapter viii, possibly the most well-known section of the story, recounting the time when Don Quixote identifies 40 windmills as giants with flailing arms and subsequently attacks them. The idiom "tilting at windmills" derives from this chapter...
