Description
Not a usual image of San Francisco, the North (Dutch) Windmill in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco stands about 75 ft tall and was originally constructed to pump water. A garden filled with thousands of tulips decorates the surrounding area of the Dutch Windmill, whose interior harbors paintings in need of serious repair. Over the years, noticeable insect and water damage has taken place, making the gallery unsuitable for visitors.

Richard, what a wonderful image. As you point out, not what we normally associate with San Francisco. The gardens and flowers at the base give such a nice pop of color to the otherwise plain windmill. Like the benches around the perimeter. You have given us such a nice perspective of the entire windmill too. Congratulations on your group features!

Thank you, Karen. We stumbled across this and were quite surprised by the little garden of tulips around it too!
